Our mental health education for college students since the 1980s, after 30 years of development, it has done a lot of work in promoting the healthy growth of college students.But in the modern era, there are some new psychological problems, such as lack of motivation, emptiness, depression and so on.These psychological problems on the surface actually reflect the students spiritual problems in varying degrees, these problems are closely related to the lack of sense of life meaning.This puts forward a new challenge to the present college students'mental health education work.In order to make it to cope with new problems of college students better,in this study,under the guidance of the meaning of Marxist view on life and Frankel treatment theory, using qualitative research methods and the self-made semi structured interview outline, gathering first-hand information about the students'view of life meaning by 18 in-depth interviews,using the grounded theory to code and analysis the information,learning the impact of students'view of life meaning on their mental health status,then starting from the reality basis, constructing the mental health education system in the perspective of life meaning.There are two levels of research,one is the college students'view of life meaning,the other is the specific impact on the mental health of college students when their view of life meaning is missing.First, college students established their concepts of the meaning of life on four levels, survival, life control, interpersonal relationships, the existence.Second, the impact of students'view of life meaning on their mental health characterized by six kind of psychological problems:general emotional distress, lack of learning motivation, maladjustment, job hunting troubled, self-identity problems, psychological crisis.Eventually combining the theoretical basis of the meaning of life with the really basis of college students'view of life and the impact on their psychological problems,it has four aspects to construct the mental health education system in the perspective of the life meaning:paying attention to the development of life as mental health education goals,enriching the content of mental health education with taking life as the main line,broadening the experiential way of mental health education,creating a mental health education environment of caring about life.
