The new curriculum reform has been carried out for ten years in Chinese middle school. In terms of high school physics teaching, there are a large number of difficult problems which cover a wide range of sub-fields, including the understanding of some important physical concepts and theorem, the analysis of experimental operation and demanding exercises. For these teaching difficulties, it is challenging for students to comprehend and master, and also for teachers to deal with. Thus, this thesis not only meets the needs of the textbook reform, but also helps teachers to solve the knotty issues existing in high school physics teaching. At the same time, it is also helpful for teachers to conduct teaching research, improve teaching methods as well as enhance teaching quality, which leads to the increase in teacher quality and teaching level.Adopting the approach of case study, this research mainly focuses on difficult teaching problems in high schools physics. The major research content includes classifying the categories of complicate problems in high school physics teaching, exploring causes, solutions and methods of teaching issues, as well as the plans to deal with typical sophisticated teaching problems. This case study is based on different types of teaching problems, thereby, within the domain of electromagnetism, selecting questioned issues which are recognized by the majority of physic teachers and which lie in physics textbooks and teaching.
