Study On The Demand Of The First Generation Of Only Child Parents In The City

1970s, our country implements the family planning policy, for controlling the extra-growth of population. To advocate a couple to have only one child,that make a lot of only-child appear on the social and then cause the family type structure of the only-child family in the city. At present,some of the first generation of the only one child's parents have entering the aged stage and his huge group of pension problems are more and more apparent. The problem of only-child parents in the old age demand is more serious than the non-only child parents,because of the especially of the only-child family. And the only-child parents are facing a greater risk of pension.This article is based on the understanding of the current situation about the only- child's family pension demand at home and abroad,through the survey of the first generation of only-child's parents and select model case to have an interview at Chengde urban X community. On the basis of investigation, the paper analyzes the problems in the demand of the elderly by using the theory of demand level and the theory of social support,found out the economic support of the first generation of only-child parents in the city is not enough, empty nest family crisis, lack of life care and spiritual comfort and so on, especially, the problem of spiritual consolation is particularly prominent. In view of these problems, from the state, society and the one-child parents themselves three angles to give some advice. The State shall establish and improve the policy of one-child parents' pension problem, the pension institutions should improve its service facilities and the one-child parents themselves have to establish independent endowment concept. The state, society and individuals should work together to build a system of meeting the needs of the one-child parents pension, so as to promote the development of social which are harmony, healthy and orderly.
