Analysis On Influencing Factors Of Campus Security

Safety,the basic guarantee for the survival and development of human beings, is an eternal theme in today's social and economic development. It is not realistic and consistent with the historic development and laws to talk about the development of issues with no reference to security. As important bases for training socialist builders and social elite,colleges and universities are such important parts in sustaining the national political stability and social stability that their safety and stability are important premises for sustainable and coordinative development in education and rank the first in the problems involving higher educational development. At present, China's universities are basically secure and stable, but the influencing factors of security and stability on campus are complicated. Seizing the main factors of campus safety and determining their relationship among factors are bases for the party, the governments and the colleges and universities to have a definite object in view, to do a better work in safety of higher education and to keep colleges and universities secure and stable.This paper aims at the influencing factors of campus security and discusses mechanism influencing campus safety through empirical analysis.First of all, the main influencing factors on campus safety are identified based on literature review and specific situation of our country's higher education, including safety atmosphere, social factors, school factors and individual factors. The study model of each influencing factor on safety campus is constructed and a corresponding hypothesis is proposed in the paper. The author thinks that social factors, school factors and individual factors have positive effects on the formation of safe atmosphere and campus safety and that safe atmosphere has an positive effect on campus safety.Secondly, a questionnaire of different factors on set of issues related is designed to investigate college students in eight colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province and then is testified by SPSS16.0 to recycle effective to ensure its reliability and validity. Again, by using AMOS17.0 the proposed model is fitted and corrected, the theoretical hypothesis is tested. The author finds that social factors,school factors and formation of safe atmosphere have a positive impact on each other; social factors, individual factors and safe atmosphere are positively correlated; school factors has no direct positive effect on campus safety, thus indirectly affecting campus safety through safe atmosphere, nor do the individual factors to safe atmosphere. Finally, based on the relationship among the main influencing factors on safety campus and the relations between the factors and the campus security, this paper provides suggestions on strengthening the work of campus security from three aspects--society, school and individual.
