Research Significance The system of “Physical Examination in the High School Entrance Examination” has made great contribution to students' improvement of physical health. However, a unified and comprehensive system has not been established as that of the College Entrance Examination. And unscientific and limited issues are produced. As a result, a unified and comprehensive system is needed to be applied in the High School Entrance Examination. Through investigation, this paper aims to improve the system of Physical Examination in Fuyang, makes it more perfect and more effective, in order to promote the healthy development of teenagers and provide a successful case for other cities. Besides, the unified and integrated system can provide a more scientific and theoretical guidance for students' physical health.Research Aims In our country, there is a pervasive phenomenon of “More Knowledge, Less Sports”. Moreover, the exam-oriented education system is deeply ingrained in our society. Based on the above-mentioned issues, it is generally recognized that the students' physical qualities have been declining in the past 20 years. And the system of Physical Examination in the High School Entrance Examination is one of the important systems to improve students' physical health. This paper fully analyzes the existing problems in Fuyang's system of Physical Examination, raises targeted solutions to the problems, in order to perfect the system.Research Methods The documentary method, survey method, and observation method are applied in the paper. By using the documentary method to know about works on Physical Examination in middle school, this paper gives insight into the related measures of Physical Examination. On the basis of survey method, taking middle school graduates, middle school PE teachers, and middle school leaders as the research subjects, this paper has obtained valuable advice from them on the system, which lays a foundation for studying the system. Schools are divided into excellent, good, and general ones on the basis of the grades of the Physical Examination. The random sampling questionnaires are conducted. By applying the observation method, based on the requirements of the research tasks, the development and implementation of the course of physical education and health, physical training for the entrance examination, extracurricular activities, and physical tests are observed, which provides practical visual materials for the paper. According to the research purpose, this paper systematically studies the required materials, processes the data of the questionnaires and the physical examination grades in the last three years, and thoroughly analyzes the existing problems of the system. And targeted measures are introduced.Research Results On the choice of physical examination items of high school entrance examination, Fuyang chooses a summation assessment model of “high school entrance examination determines one's life”. The full marks of 50 is received through the entrance examination on the spot one time, without considering students' regular grades in junior middle school and the grades of National Students Health Standard. This testing system aims to obtain high sports scores mechanically, and cannot bring positive factors to students' enthusiasm for physical education and health curriculum, and extracurricular athletics. Finally, the purpose of physical education of high school entrance is lost in adhering to the health-first guiding principle, cultivating students' physical education sense, forming the habit of lifetime sports, and promoting students' health and psychology development. On the choice of physical examination items, besides learning from the items going on in Beijing, the physical examination items in Fuyang can be divided into two parts: one is the unified national examination; the other is daily examination. And daily examination is made up of two parts: one is usual examinations for each semester; the other is the test of National Students Health Standard for each year. The distribution of this kind of examination items is more detailed and perfect, and is more stimulant to improve students' enthusiasm for physical education and health curriculum, and extracurricular athletics. Fuyang has paid increasing attentions on physical education year by year, such as gradually increasing the percentage of physical education performance, from 30 points in 2013, to 40 points in 2014, and 50 points in 2015. Such gradual increase of physical education performance in the High School Entrance Examination results helps improving students', parents', and schools' attention to physical education, mobilizing the whole society's attention to physical education, in order to break the widespread idea of “More Knowledge, Less Skills”, thus improving the students' physical condition. From 2013 to 2015, the data show that the number of students' participation in standing long jump and throwing solid ball is low(few girls). This illustrates that the upper body strength and the low limbs strength are very weak. The solution for this situation is to set the sports using upper and lower extremity as necessary items, for instance, setting the standing long jump and throwing solid ball as the necessary items. Students' importance to the above sports is motivated on the basis of examination of physical education, and their strengths of upper and lower extremities are improved.
