As an improtant part of the undergradutes' precollege experience, the precollege extramural education is an important "Input" factor which may affect the undergrates'growth and development when they are studying in colleges. To explore the influence of precollege extramural education on undergradutes' college experience,we investigated 702 undergraduates by questionnaires and learned about the conditions of their precollege extramural education and college experience. The proportion of participating shadow education(65.67%)is the largest, then is interests and talents training(48.86%),and attending summer/winter camps(32.19%)is at the bottom. From the results of hypothsis test, correlation analysis and regression analysis,we found that precollege extramural education has a certain influence on the college experience of undergraduates, however, different forms of precollege extramural education affect college experience differently:(1)All the three forms of precollege extramural education have a positive impact on the undergraduates'group status&influence, interpersonal realationship and the development of knowledge and skills in college, but there is a negative effect on undergraduates' cognition and attitude of learning, and the engagement in student league and the student cadre works;(2)Attending summer/winter camps has a significant influence on the undergraduates'interpersonal relationship both with faculty and peers, while involving in shadow education has a predominant effect on undergraduates' teacher-student relationship;(3)Interests and talents training before the college entrance has important value and significance to reinforce the students' self-efficacy of learning;(4)Interests and talents training,as well as attending summer/winter camps, has contribution to the undergraduates' autonomy of learning, enriched educational experiences and self-reported learning achievements in college, furthermore, attending summer/winter camps even has broader implications on the self-reported learning achievements, including the improvement of knowledge and skills, and the development of attitude and manner.(5)"Winning at the beginning" does not imply "Winning in college",because undergraduates who were involved in extramural education earlier than others fail to show obvious advantage in college.Besides, the undergraduates'performance and engagement matter more to the enriched educational experiences in college than their experiences of precollege extramural education, family background,colleges/majors/grades,etc.
