The croquet is a sport like as billiard,it gets the score and win the match through delivering and hitting the ball by a special club in the outdoor ground.It consists of the skill of athletes,the on-court command tactics of coach,the psychologicalcondition of athletes.In recent years,croquet is getting more and more popular among teenagers.It has become a main way to improve athletes' special sport skill and tactics level by annual national match.With the accelerated development of croquet sport,the level of technologies and tactics have been improved a lot in the students fromjunior high school,the competition is much fierce than before.The impact of psychological factor becomes more important.Thus,the competitive status anxiety is to be one of the most important element to impact on-court performance.By tools of document literature,questionnaire,observation and interview,mathematical statistics,and with application of R·Martens?The Competitive Status Anxiety Questionnaire?(callsCSAI-2),Zhou Jie and Shi Yan's ?The Psychological Skill Sheet of Athletes?,the author conducts a measurement and analysis research for pre-match competitive status anxiety and psychological skill for Team A of National Teenage Croquet Championships in year 2016.The research results show as followed:(1)The croquet athletes are with higher level of cognitive status anxiety and confidence status than non-croquet athletes or other sports player by comparing the data of norm,the physical anxiety is close to norm.(2)The cognitive status anxiety and physical anxiety of croquet athletes from junior high school is much close to the average number of norm in open class movement skill,and the three dimensions of competitive status anxiety is higher than the average number of norm in fine class movement skill.(3)There is high correlation among three dimensions of competition status anxiety for the croquet athletes from junior high school,the cognitive status of anxiety has negative correlation with confidence status,and the physical anxiety has positive correlation with cognitive status anxiety.(4)The level of psychological skill of croquet athletes from junior high school has significant impact to competitive status anxiety.It is helpful to improve confidence status and reduce cognitive status anxiety as well as physical anxiety by using sports psychological skill.(5)In the field of psychological skill of croquet athletes from junior high school,cognitive control has the highest positive correlation with motivation.They promote each other,it should be emphasized for those two skills during psychological skill training.(6)The competition status anxiety has obvious correlation with psychological skill,the five dimensions of psychological skill has negativecorrelation with cognitive status anxiety and physical anxiety,and it has positive correlation with confidence status.Physical anxiety has the highest negative with motivation and cognitive control.
