As the main assist, the degree of information in teaching management is significant and has direct influence on the quality and benefit of the school. With the wide application of Information technologies in all walks of life, such as Internet Plus, Could Computing, Bid Data, and Business Intelligence, as well as the pattern of developing talents is more and more refined and personalized in universities and colleges, their previous informationalized management is not effective in the long term. Therefore, taking advantage of the information technologies to build an "intellectual" teaching management platform is quite necessary.This thesis applied the technologies of Business Intelligence to the teaching management in universities and colleges and built the "intellectual" modules, aiming to solve problems rising from teaching analysis, prediction, and decision-making. For instance, it helps to improve teaching targetedly; it analyzes the main factors that influence students' academic performance objectively; it facilitates students to elevate their foreign language levels effectively; and it helps poor students with their study positively. This thesis, based on theoriginal teaching management platform, used the existing data to build an assisting analytic system for prediction and analysis. This thesis used the business intelligence technologies of software, including DW (Data Warehouse), data analysis, data report, and DM (Data Mining). In the process of realization, this study first classified the existing data based on needs, and then built DW. After this, it purposely analyzed the data through the Online Analytical Processing and builds the analytical modules that could be used to analyze factors that affect a teacher's teaching quality or to generate the elements that influence students'foreign language levels. Based on the results of analysis and also the practical conditions in school, it provides solutions. After this, through the Decision Tree Algorithm, the study built the CET4-Prediction Modules to predict students'qualified rate in CET-4. It tested the probability of freshman and constructed the ranking models by using many mining algorithms. Through the analysis of the results for each algorithm, it concluded that the problems in the application of business intelligence in teaching managements and provides the countermeasures.Business intelligence technologies aim at further generating and finding out the underlying information of the data, and predict the tendency of development in the future. Applying these technologies in teaching management are quite practical and instructional in the advancement of both school and quality of talents. They can further realize the informationalization,scientization and intelligentization of teaching management in universities and colleges.
