The surge of college graduates and the slowdown in economic growth have led to the oversupply of graduates in China.Combining business startup with employment is one of the solutions to appease the conflict. As innovative entrepreneurship education on the improvement of college students' entrepreneurial ability, and the support policy of the government encourages college students to start a business, the current college students are catching up with the historical opportunity to become the early beneficiaries. The most essential resource of entrepreneurship is human resources, the majority of studies show that team entrepreneurship performance is better than individual, and is a common form to start a business.Faced with different environments, every team needs to have a more comprehensive access to resources and abilities to solve problems, which demands for differences between team members.Innovation performance is an important indicator to measure efficiency of technological innovation activities,to judge whether the entrepreneurial team can survive and continue to develop or not.Entrepreneurial team as the most important capital of the organization, study on the influence of college students' entrepreneurial team heterogeneity on innovation performance can't be ignored. This thesis mainly carries out three aspects of work:Firstly, the deepening and integration of related theories.Based on the summary of domestic and foreign related literature, the deepening of related theory means the thesis thoroughly studies Upper Echelons Theory, then applies to the college students' entrepreneurial team;and integration means the thesis builds a theoretical model, that is the relationship of college students' entrepreneurial team heterogeneity(gender, age, profession and education),team size and innovation performance(benefit and efficiency)and put forward the hypothesis.Secondly, the analysis of the sample data. The sample data includes 340 entrepreneurial teams from some National College Students' entrepreneurial Competition in 2016.The descriptive statistics analysis, correlation analysis,Tobit regression analysis and robustness testing are analyzed by SPSS 20.0 and Stata 14.0 statistic softwares, the conclusions are reliable and stable.Thirdly, conclusion analysis and discussion.Major conclusions are as follows:(1)The greater the gender heterogeneity, the higher the innovational benefit, with the increase to the number of the team, resulting in higher benefit of innovation;(2)The age heterogeneity and the efficiency of innovation have a positive and significant correlation, but it isn't a good idea to increase the number of team;(3)The greater the profession heterogeneity, the higher the innovational benefit, but expanding team size will reduce the innovation benefit. On the other hand, the greater the profession heterogeneity, the lower the innovational efficiency.(4)The education heterogeneity and the innovational performance have a significant and positive correlation, increasing the number of team is only advantageous to innovational benefit. The thesis creates a new angle for Upper Echelons Theory, and enriches the measurement of college students' entrepreneurial team heterogeneity and innovation performance, which enhances the stability of each variable. The thesis proposes suggestions from college student's entrepreneurial team aspect and college aspect, which has more significant meaning and value for them.
