Since the outbreak of the AIDS epidemic,AIDS has become an urgent world-wide problem to be solved.Among the many problems caused by AIDS,social discrimination in HIV / AIDS directly affects the work of AIDS prevention and control. The problem of self-discrimination of HIV-infected people virtually increases the spread of HIV / AIDS discrimination.Through previous studies and interviews with HIV-infected people,it has been found that the self-discrimination of HIV-infected people is universal in the group. They have serious negative emotions, such as self-blame,prejudice,and so on.They are difficult to accept the identity of HIV-infected people and concerned that the identity of HIV-infected people is known to others. And they tend to be self-isolated in social relations. The problem of self-discrimination seriously disrupts the daily lives of HIV-infected people, reduces their self-efficacy,and reduces their intentions for drug treatment. At present,AIDS treatment research has not made a greater breakthrough, social discrimination in HIV / AIDS can not change overnight.Under such conditions, the most direct and effective way for social workers to solve the problem of self-discrimination of HIV-infected people is to change the irrational attitude towards HIV / AIDS among HIV-infected people. In fact, through the case operation also confirmed that this method is feasible.
