Education reform is imperative with the promulgation of “national medium/longterm education reform and development plan outline(2010-2020)” and the proposal of "Internet+" action.At the same time,the development of Internet technology and the improvement of network speed have made it easier and much quicker for people to acquire knowledge.With the increase of social demand for knowledge and skills,people are gradually aware of the need of continuous-learning and self-improvement to avoid been eliminated by the era of lifelong learning.However,adult learners' time is mostly used in work and life,but less and fragmented for learning.Considering the requirement and characteristics of learners,at present,there have been some WeChat groups created by users to provide live-teaching for the learners.However,those who tried on WeChat live-teaching have not been put their practice into theory,which means they are not able to offer good learning experience and satisfied learning effects for the learners.As a result,its absolutely important to use appropriate theory to guide the instructional pattern of WeChat live-teaching.This research summarizes the situation of WeChat live-class and observes the problems of WeChat live-class such as immethodical teaching link,stuff less teaching information and outdated teaching method according to content analysis of existed cases.To this,this research also suggests to construct a theory-based instructional pattern for WeChat live-class to effectively solve the above problems.Combining the functions and characteristics of WeChat,the researcher designs the instructional pattern construction principles for WeChat live-class based on Connectivism,Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning and Informal learning theory.The principles include course requirement,systematic teaching activities,associated teaching resources,fragmented teaching procedures and efficient curriculum management.Then,the researcher experiments with “DISC and Communication” course as a model.Through the feedback,the author concludes that the model has good feasibility and generalizability.The instructional pattern of WeChat live-class could provide a reference for designers and practitioners on WeChat live-class,a new train of thought for individual,associations & institutions on distance education,and a new choice for the learners in the era of fragmented learning.
