Mathematics is the tool to solve the problem,which comes from people's productive practicing activities.Mathematics almost penetrate into every discipline and every corner of our daily life.In 2003,the "Senior High School Mathematics Curriculum Standard "has promulgated "to develop students' mathematical application consciousness"as one of the basic concepts,put forward that"High school mathematics curriculum should provide the basic content of the actual background and reflect the application of mathematics.High school mathematics curriculum should let students experience the effect of mathematics in solving practical problems,and experience the relation between mathematics and daily life,also between mathematics and other disciplines,so that to promote the gradual formation and development of mathematics application awareness and to improve practical ability.The textbook is the carrier to the concept of mathematics curriculum standard.This research has taken the "Ordinary high school curriculum standard experimental textbook·mathematics"(Version A compulsory5-published by the People's Education Press)as the blueprint,through the research of application materials in mathematic textbook,attempt to made some suggestions for deepening,optimising,implementing the presentaition of application materials in textbooks.Specific research work is as follows:Firstly,according to the research status quo at home and abroad,we find out the research on the application materials in the textbook is not deep and comprehensive enough,it needs to be further researched and revealed.Secondly,the author has introdused the publication massages and system structure of the textbook in detail,and definded some related concept.Thirdly,text analyzes the application materials in textbook from fouraspect like Editor's Note,This Book Guidance,List and Chapter,intend to more thoroughly understand characteristics of the application materials in the textbook.Finally,surveyed both teachers and students in A school of Shuozhou City,in Shanxi Province,about using application materials in the textbooks,and it shows that the teachers have high recognition of the application materials which were installed in the textbooks,although put some of the application materials into the teaching practise,some of them was still ignored in the teaching from many factors.This paper studies the application of materials in textbook by means of literature research,statistical research,content research,questionnaire survey and interview,and reveals the highlighting characteristics in the application of mathematics of textbook through text analysis and empirical research.The conclusions are as follows:The advantages of application materials established in textbook: "chapter head" section refers to the application of mathematics in reality,reflecting the application value of mathematics;chapters introduced with multiple application materials;case and exercises have more applications;development materials of knowledge presented a number of practical issues to solve life problem.The lack of application materials established in textbook:the background of the application materials is not rich and varied enough;application materials set with repeatability;some exercise use of the figure did not appear words like "figure";teachers and students think that it has a certain degree of difficulty in "practice" column setting of application materials.The recommendations of application materials will be established in textbook:to rich the background of application materials in the example exercises case;problem solvings are used in the form of more illustrations;"practice" should provide more detailed implement program or dedicated practice module;make full use of network resources.Through the study on presentation of the application materials in textbooks,we hope to provide some suggestions for the establishment ofmathematical application materials in textbook.
