Textbooks are the basis for teachers' teaching and students' learning.The "Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standard(2011 Edition)" puts forward: "The textbook should provide certain reading materials,including historical materials,mathematics background,knowledge application,etc.,for students to choose to read." Reading materials,as flexible content in the textbook,can satisfy students The different needs of teachers are also conducive to teachers' creative teaching.This article takes a junior high school in Huai'an as the survey object.The purpose is to investigate the current situation of teachers and students using the reading materials in the compulsory education textbook "Mathematics" published by Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Press(hereinafter referred to as the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Press edition mathematics textbook)in order to give Targeted recommendations.The survey first analyzes the reading materials in the six mathematics textbooks of the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Press edition and the teacher's teaching books,and then uses the questionnaire method and interview method to investigate the understanding and use of the reading materials in the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Press edition of mathematics textbooks by teachers and students.Based on the results of the survey,analyze the reasons and give some suggestions from the perspective of teachers and students.The main conclusions of the research are:1.From the perspective of the compilation of reading materials in the textbook,the types of reading materials in the Jiangsu Phoenix Science and Technology Press version of junior high school mathematics textbooks are relatively rich,but there are areas for improvement in quantity and presentation.Teachers' teaching books have less requirements for textbook reading materials,and pay more attention to the explanation of knowledge points.2.From the results of teacher surveys,the current junior middle school math teachers have a high degree of recognition for textbook reading materials,but the frequency of using reading materials is not high,the method of use is relatively simple,there are few task requirements for students,and relevant teaching abilities need to be improved.Whether teachers use reading materials depends mainly on the degree of knowledge contact and whether the exam is involved.3.From the results of student surveys,students have a high degree of recognition of textbook reading materials.Most students will use reading materials,but their habits and methods of use are not standardized,which leads to inappropriate use.Whether students use reading materials depends mainly on the degree of knowledge contact and whether the exam is involved.In response to the above research conclusions,this research puts forward relevant suggestions from the teacher and student levels.For teachers: develop curriculum resources,pay attention to language learning,change educational concepts,and conduct teaching reflection;for students:correct use attitude,improve reading efficiency,expand reading range,and summarize learning methods.
