In recent years,with the continuous innovation and development of high school mathematics textbooks,the permanent section of mathematics textbooks--reading materials are also updated and improved,which provides materials and sources for students to broaden their knowledge acquisition channels,broaden their knowledge horizons and improve their comprehensive ability.As one of the media to promote students' overall and personality development,mathematical reading material has important research significance.Therefore,the research theme of this paper is to compare the new and old textbooks,select the common reading materials in the new and old textbooks and the newly compiled new reading materials in the new textbooks,develop A questionnaire,and investigate the learning situation of the reading materials in the new math textbook A edition in 2019 for high school students.The research questions are as follows :(1)What are the changes in the quantity,content and structure of the reading materials in the old and new high school mathematics textbooks through comparison?(2)How do senior high school students of different genders,grades and learning levels learn different types of reading materials in the new textbooks?(3)What is the influence of learning new versions of reading materials on the ability development of senior high school students?Based on the results of the survey,what effective strategies can be proposed for teachers' teaching,students' learning,and the preparation of reading materials?Firstly,the literature analysis method is adopted to summarize and sort out the related works and literature periodicals of reading materials in mathematics textbooks at home and abroad,so as to deepen the understanding of the research content.Then,using the comparative research method,the reading materials of the 2003 edition and the 2019 edition of mathematics textbooks are summarized,sorted out,analyzed and compared,so as to provide content materials for the follow-up questionnaire content design.Finally,the questionnaire survey method and statistical analysis method were adopted to measure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire,collect,process and analyze the data,obtain the learning situation of students,and put forward research suggestions based on the research results.The results show that :(1)the reading materials of the new version of mathematics textbooks have increased by 6 articles compared with the old version.There are some additions,deletions and changes in the quantity,content and structure of each type of reading material.(2)High school students generally recognize the importance of reading materials,and teachers' teaching attitude will have an impact on lower grade students' attitude toward learning reading materials.(3)Students have a good learning performance in reading materials related to mathematical knowledge expansion;To the knowledge application class learning situation is general;I have low interest in information technology and mathematics and culture.(4)In terms of ability,the study of reading materials has a good influence on students' reading and application ability,but has a moderate influence on the development of self-study and exploration ability.(5)In terms of gender,girls take reading materials more seriously than boys.Male and female students hold different attitudes towards different types of reading materials.(6)In terms of grades,senior students have a good attitude towards reading materials.In terms of knowledge expansion,mathematical and cultural reading materials,as well as their application and self-learning ability,Grade2 students are better than Grade 1 students.In the study of other types of reading materials and the development of reading and exploration ability,Grade One is better than Grade Two.(7)The higher a student's achievement level is,the better his/her mastery of various reading materials and ability development will be.Based on the above research conclusions,the following suggestions are proposed for teachers' teaching methods,students' learning methods and the compilation of reading materials.The teaching suggestions are as follows :(1)change the teaching attitude to explore the value of reading materials;(2)enrich the teaching situation to highlight the value of reading materials;(3)improve the teaching methods to consolidate the construction of knowledge.The students' suggestions are as follows :(1)attach importance to reading to cultivate students' comprehensive ability;(2)utilize reading materials to develop a variety of learning methods.Suggestions for the preparation of reading materials are as follows :(1)Add references to the mathematical cultures of different countries in the reading materials.(2)Add references to knowledge in different fields to the reading materials.(3)Reasonable setting of the position and presentation of reading materials in the textbook.
