Athletics is the mother of all sports,which plays an important role in improving people’s walking,running,jumping,throwing and other basic survival skills,it also has functions such as exercising body and mind,intelligence and movement.However,in modern society,the level of material life has gradually improved,and people’s physical labor has declined.To some extent,it has led to the deterioration of human physiological function and the alienation of psychological consciousness,Therefore,it is very important for people’s physical and mental development to strengthen the study and exercise of track and field.The school physical education health course is an important way for students to study and exercise in the track and field.The quality of school physical education influences the physical and mental health of the students.The track and field teaching level in Heze is in the forefront in Shandong Province.But in recent years,influenced by the idea of examination oriented education,some school leaders and teachers have some deviations in the understanding of the new curriculum standards,which have seriously affected the development of track and field teaching in our city.This paper takes track and field teaching situation of 25 senior middle schools in seven counties of Heze as the object of study,uses the method of literature,questionnaire,expert interviews and mathematical statistics,investigate and analysis the situation containing the track and field teaching contents and teaching methods,evaluation methods,the quality of teachers,track and field culture development,teachers’ opinions on the new curriculum reform and the site equipment,draws the conclusion,and puts forward the corresponding countermeasures in view of the existing problems.According to the results,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)The new curriculum reforms had a major impact on track and field teaching in Heze city,and achieved remarkable results;the PE teachers were adequate,but track and field specialty of sports teachers less,fewer personnel master degree or above,fewer female teachers in track and field;the site cannot fully meet the needs of teaching and leisure time exercise,lower equipment rates per capita.(2)Mostly dominated by exam content in the teaching content;teaching is dominated by traditional teaching method;most of the teachers use skills standards,performance measurement,class attendance to evaluate a student’s grades,municipal schools under the new course standard can carry out comprehensive evaluation of students.The development countermeasures:(1)insist on "health first" as the guilding ideology,should pay attention to the all-round development of students.(2)strengthening the construction of teachers of physical education teachers,improving PE teachers ’ accomplishment in track and field.(3)attach importance to theoretical teaching of track and field,increase the development of track and field teaching material.(4)reform of track and field teaching methods,focusing on the main position of students.(5)teaching and strengthening students ’ knowledge of track and field feature(6)rational use of track and field teaching evaluation of multi-faceted and diverse.(7)strengthen the development of track and field sports project in campus sports culture.(8)increasing track and field venues and equipment investment,optimize the allocation of equipment.
