With the rapid development of China's social economy,our country is closer to the world,it is becoming more and more important to cultivate high-quality international talents.As a global language,English plays an important role in the process of social and economic globalization in the world.Therefore,English education in China is an important part of school education.English courses in primary schools not only play an important role in children's language practice and intellectual development,but also lay a good foundation for them to go to the world.The establishment of excellent teachers is the key to our founding a good education.In recent years,the development of education in rural primary school has always been a weak link in the development of basic education in our country,and The reality of rural primary school English education in rural primary education is not optimistic,the key reason is that there are many urgent problems in the work and professional development of English teachers in rural primary school.Therefore,to understand the current situation of rural primary school English teachers' professional development in china,analysis the key problems and the main reasons of it,And put forward effective solutions to improve the situation of the rural primary school English teachers' work and professional development,improve the English level of rural children,It is of great significance to promote the English education in rural primary schools and the development of basic education in china.This paper is based on the theory of education equity,teacher professional development,under the background of the national implementation of the rural teacher support program,mainly using the method of questionnaire investigation and interview of the comprehensive study of the status of work and professional development of rural primary school English teachers in Dancheng County of Henan province;This paper points out the problems existing in the work and professional development of English teachers in rural primary schools in Dancheng County of Henan province;Then,the paper analysis the causes of the problems from three aspects of macro,meso and micro;finally according to the analysis of the problems and the reasons,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to solve the problems,hoping to help the rural primary school English teachers in Dancheng County in Henan province to reduce the burden of work,ease the pressure of work,promote the level of their professional development,improve the quality of rural primary school English education in Dancheng county.This paper is divided into seven parts.The first part is the introduction,this part mainly introduces the background,purpose and significance of the study,the domestic and foreign research literature review and comments,focus,difficulties and innovation of this thesis research methods and research contents are detailed.The second part is the definition of the core concepts and theoretical basis.This part is mainly on the "rural","rural primary school","rural primary school English teachers" and " teachers' work "," teachers' professional development" several core concepts of scientific definition,At the same time,the theoretical basis of this research is described in detail.The third part,research design and implementation.This part mainly divided into two aspects are that survey designs and implementation,in the investigation of the design,this aspect mainly elaborated the purpose of the investigation,investigation content and research object;implementation of the survey describes the survey time,Questionnaire distribution and recovery,reliability and validity analysis,interview design etc..The fourth part is the empirical research part.This part is mainly about the basic information of the rural primary school English teachers in Dancheng county,Henan,teaching work,educational work,professional development level,professional development opportunities such as the five aspects of the situation of a detailed investigation and analysis.The fifth part,according to the analysis on the situation of the investigation,found that the irrational structure of teachers and teaching work tasks very hard,education work is tedious,teacher professional development level is low and very few opportunities for teacher training,professional development training effect is not ideal and many other problems in the reality of rural primary school English teachers in Dancheng County of Henan province.The sixth part,according to the problems and then from the macro,meso and micro aspects of the detailed analysis of the causes of the problems.The seventh part,based on the analysis of problems and reasons,the paper puts forward some suggestions to solve the problems existing in the rural primary school English teachers' work and professional development in Dancheng County,Henan province,hope to promote the development of primary school English teachers,improve rural children's English level,and thus improve the overall development of rural primary school English education and the quality of rural basic education,promote the balanced development of compulsory education in china.
