The Scientific Research Development Of Beijing Sport University

With putting forward "Science and Technology Promoting Sports " strategy,science and technology make deeper influence on sports cause,meanwhile gain increasing attention in sports field as well.Beijing Sport University,as China’s most prestigious university in sports field,plays an important role which can’t be ignored in the sports research area.Beijing Sport University,which was founded in 1953,witnessed the development of China’s sports scientific research.We Analyze60 years’ development course of sports scientific research in Beijing Sport University,for the purpose of not only recording events and preserving the history to replenish historical materials,but also providing reference for both the development of China’s sports scientific research and school’s research work to some extent.The thesis uses the method of consulting documentation,historical approach and interviewing,sorts out the scientific research of Beijing Sport University via following the time venation,while putting it in the background of China’s sports development and the change of sports science and technology in China to consider and discuss,explores its driving force of growth、main features、achievements and contributions、constraints through resources、capacity and performance dimensions of school’s sports scientific research.On this basis,summarizethe development regulations and propose suggestions for its further development.The history of sports scientific research in Beijing Sport University can be divided into four stages according to national science & technological policy and the level of sports development in combination with the time division of school development history.First,initial and exploration stage(from 1953 to 1965).During this period,research work basis is really weak,scientific research in Beijing Sport University starts gradually by orientating.Second,difficult and plateaus stage(from 1966 to 1976).The environment is turbulent,the Cultural Revolution lead to paralyze in whole scientific research area.Third,adjustment and development stage(from 1977 to 1992).With order out of chaos,scientific research in Beijing Sport University back on track.The remarkable feature of this phase is using adjustment to promote development,seeking improvement by attempting reform and lay the foundation.Fourth,reform and enhance stage(from 1993 to 2000).Beijing Sport University expands and unites its research work,enters a period of rapid development by virtue offorge ahead with determination,making a giant progress in scientific research performance.Fifth,pioneer and innovation stage(from 2001 to 2015).Beijing Sport University makes efforts to innovate in scientific research area,strengthens lateralconnection,meanwhile considerate vertical depth development,providing scientific research for tackling and technology services facing competitive sports and mass sports fields.At this time,Beijing Sport University integrates and optimizes resources,its scientific research gains a lot of achievement and achieves leap development.In general,Beijing Sport University seizes opportunities,faces sports practice,inheritsadvanced experience and sublates shortcomings.The overall trend of its scientific research is raising slowly at first,then entering stagnate phase,after that ushering in fast-rising period.Scientific research development of Beijing Sport University is driven by external and internal motivation,on one hand,it benefited from the prosperity of sports undertakings,positive science & technological policy and concern from higher leading organizations,on the other hand,it derived from the guidance of educational target,value from college leaders,real practice and solid work which paid by science authorities,cooperationfrom other departments and all students and faculty working hard together as well.As a result,Beijing Sport University has gained prominent achievement: scientific research institution and technology platforms are resourceful,scientific personnel is strong,scientific management is standard,channels of research programs is extensive,research project fund has reached a new height,the number of research outputs is huge and the quality is high.Beijing Sport University has made active contribution to national sports undertakings in scientific support aspect.But meanwhile,it also has several deficiencies,such as maldistribution of research contents,impetuous learning,utilitarian orientation of value,lack of research on basic theories,low transform rate,short of interdisciplinary research and so on..Motivated by building a world-class sports university,Beijing Sport University should give full play to its own advantage to make more contribution to the undertakings of our national sports research in the following aspects: the foundation of long-term promotion mechanism,continue to strengthen scientific management and cultivate innovative talents;strengthen the management after finishing the research subject,accelerate the transfer of the R & D achievements;expand cooperation and academic communication to promote coordinated development in sports scientific field;persist in various research areas flourish across the board,make great efforts to create sports think tanks in China.
