| The development of scientific inquiry ability is the key to children’s scientific education activities,which lays the foundation for deepening other learning fields in the future.Sports games play a positive role in promoting children’s scientific inquiry ability.However,there are few studies on these kinds of sports games in China.By consulting a large amount of literature,this article summarizes the characteristics of5-6 year old children’s physical and mental development,and studies the evaluation methods of scientific inquiry ability.Based on the above theory,a series of sports games have been developed to promote the development of scientific inquiry ability of 5-6 year old children.The aim of which was to create a trinity integrated and coordinated sports game curriculum based on the concepts of physical health,exploratory ability,and sports morality.According to the characteristics of children,we provide rich and diverse scientific operation materials that children are interested in.Martin’s morning animation is set as the situation,and three theme sports games are determined,namely "Little Explorer","Environmental Protection Guard",and "Peas Little Painter".It is a kind of physical education curriculum model that encourages children to explore in their own choice,hands-on operation and fiddling,and develop through the full interaction of sports,materials and cooperation.Among them,"Little Explorer" and "Environmental Protection Guard" are used for experiment,while "Peas Little Painter" is used for evaluation.Apart from that,3innovative scientific inquiry props have been designed to conduct the experiment,namely "hands and feet together with pads","classification trash can","bead drawing board".In addition,a scientific inquiry ability evaluation form was designed as an evaluation standard for evaluating children’s scientific inquiry ability.It is divided into6 indicators: curiosity and interest,ability to ask questions,tendency of inquiry,operate the materials,depth of inquiry,recording and statistics,each indicator contains 5 levels.At the beginning of the experiment,the children in the experimental group and the control group were organized to conduct assessment games,and 3teachers were invited to use the scientific inquiry ability assessment form to score the children’s performance.At the end of the experiment,the children in the experimental group and the control group were organized again to conduct an evaluation game,and3 teachers were invited to score again.Through statistical methods,the experimental data is summarized and analyzed,and the experimental results show:1.The sports games developed in this research have significantly promoted the six developments of 5-6 year old children’s scientific inquiry ability,which are curiosity and interest,ability to ask questions,tendency of inquiry,operate the materials,depth of inquiry,and recording and statistics.2.There is no significant difference in the development of scientific inquiry ability of children of different genders.3.Sports games play a significant role in promoting the development of the four physical qualities of 5-6 year old children: 10-meter reentry running,standing long jump,continuous jumping with both feet,and walking on the balance beam... |
