Teaching with chemistry history is one of the teaching model that favored by many education researchers. Teaching process that infiltrates chemistry history not only can accelerate students fully understanding the scientific literacy that scientists show during the scientific research process, it also can help students have a clear understanding about the context of scientific knowledge, and then understand the scientific knowledge. In the teaching process, we use history of chemistry to cultivate students’cognitive ability. Helping students understand the scientific knowledge deeply, and realize scientific controversy play an important role in scientific development. This article underlines chemistry history’cognitive development effect to students, namely, cultivate the students’cognitive ability, promote students understand the nature of science, complete the construction of knowledge. This text basis on psychology of learning and scientific theory of knowledge, compiled the teaching value of chemistry history, analyzed the significant function of Arrhenius’s Ionization theory to chemical disciplines’ development and teaching. On this basic, we implement the teaching practice research. We carry out teaching intervention and survey for some students, in order to comprehend the impact of permeability of chemistry history teaching to students’understanding of knowledge about ionization. The study found that the teaching that permeates chemistry history can promote students to understand scientific knowledge. Under the guidance of chemistry history teaching model, students can grasp the essence of the chemical reaction in the solution from microscopic. At the same time, through understanding the evolution of ionization theory, students can have a new understanding of nature of science; they realize the temporary qualitative and load of scientific knowledge; feeling the significance of dispute between scientists; grasp the scientific spirit that should have during the scientific research.
