Because of the importance of subject matter knowledge,the shortcomings of math teachers' subject matter knowledge,the lack of courses of Normal Universitys,the inadequacy of existing researches and so on,the development of course content about subject matter knowledge has important implications.Selecting pre-service mathematics teachers as the research object,this master dissertation uses the documentary method to find the foundation of the development of course content about subject matter knowledge of Probability and Statistics.This paper uses the documentary method and expert interview to develop the course content with the intent to develop pre-service teachers' subject matter knowledge.It uses case study method and comparative method to compare this course content with another one.It uses case study method to find the changes of researcher's subject matter knowledge at different stages.This paper sets following research questions:(1)What is the foundation of the development of course content about Probability and Statistics subject matter knowledge for pre-service mathematics teachers?(2)What does this course include?(3)Where are differences and similarities between this course content and another one?(4)What are the changes of subject matter knowledge of the researcher at different stages?Finally,this paper supports the following conclusions:(1)The integration of basic knowledge and mathematical methods at the stage of high school and University under the basic notion of mathematics thinkings is the foundation of the development of this course content.(2)The course content contains:mathematical thinkings,basic knowledge and mathematical methods of Probability and Statistics.(3)Two course contents both elaborate on core knowledge,some mathematical thinkings and methods of Probability and Statistics,but the venations of two course contents are different.(4)Basic knowledge,mathematical thinkings and methods have been both developed.For the above conclusions,this paper makes the following suggestions:(1)University teachers strengthen the integration of basic knowledge and mathematical methods at the stage of high school and University under the basic notion of mathematics thinkings.(2)Middle-school Teachers strengthen the integration of subject matter knowledge in teaching.(3)The training of in-service teachers adopts the research results.
