STS is the abbreviation of Science,Technology and Society.It emphasizes the mutual relationship between science,technology and society.It is an interdisciplinary with strong comprehension.STS education is the performance of STS idea in education.With the more and more aggravation of environmental pollution,STS education explores to STSE education.STSE education is a burgeoning education theory along with the high-speed development of technology.It emphasizes the interaction of science,technology,society and environment to help students know the application of science and technology in social production and life,therefore,students could have the idea of sustainable development.The aim is to improve the scientific quality of students and strengthen the sense of social responsibility of students.Now there is no specialized STSE education course in our country.Biology is a subject based on practice,hence the STSE thinking is penetrated in the current biology teaching to help student know about society and promote the application of knowledge.Besides,there is STSE idea in many places of Senior High School biology textbooks.In the General Senior High School Biology Curriculum Standard(Experiment),it is emphasized that students should know the nature of science and understands the relationship between science,technology and society as well as the interaction relationship of human and nature to form the scientific world outlook and values.The knowledge of Biology has strong practical.Senior High School biology textbooks and curriculum standards have requirement to the STSE education,so there must be STSE education in the class of biology class in Senior High School.The paper analyzes the performance of STSE idea in Senior High School biology curriculum standards and Senior High School biology textbooks and explores the implementation strategy of STSE education.The questionnaire is taken to investigate the implementation of STSE education in Senior High School in Dalian district.Choose the method of creating effective situation to have practical study according to the investigation result.The teaching result finds that having STSE through the method of creating effective situation to have practical study could improve the biological literacy of students and their interest on biology as well as their learning performance.
