Mind mapping is a graphical and knowledge-represented tool of thinking.It is useful to improve the efficiency of teaching and learning physics in high school through exploring one new method to teach physics,which is based the combination of physics teaching and mind mapping.Applying the mind map teaching method into the practical teaching physics in high school,this study aims to promote efficiency of physics teaching,cultivate the students' thinking ability,and provides some experiences of application of mind mapping in physics teaching.On the basis of literature review,this study discussed the application of mind mapping in teaching theory and practical education.The author studied the practicability of mind mapping in teaching and learning physics in high school,according the guide of law of education and the teaching characteristic and effect with mind mapping.This study will introduce teachers the better teaching method and then teach physics efficiently.Based on the survey of 25 physics teachers' at high school,the cognition and application of mind mapping in physics teaching are as follows:(1)some of physics teachers had a certain understanding of mind mapping,and few of them had applied them into teaching physics,while almost nobody insist on teaching with mind mapping;(2)most of them gave positive attitude to teaching method with mind mapping,they thought that students would learn physics actively through the teaching method with mind mapping;(3)some of them suggested that this mind mapping method should combine with other teaching methods,and pay attention to the actual physics course when teaching with mind mapping;(4)Several teachers thought that mind mapping does not apply all the physics courses,thus the efficiency of teaching may not be significant.In this article,through classroom observation,questionnaire survey and sampling methods such as interviews,comparative experiments,the students in the teaching of high school physics learning attitude change before and after the experiment,and interest in mind mapping approach to learning and recognition,etc.On the basis of these experiments,the author designed mind mapping teaching method into physics teaching in senior grade one,studied the performance before and after using mind mapping in treated and control classrooms,and determined the efficiency of mind mapping teaching method in physics teaching at high school.The results in this study gave the following conclusions:(1)The application of mind mapping in physics teaching enhanced the students' interest and confidence of learning physics and improved the students' academic performance;(2)Application of mind map in physical mechanics teaching,to cultivate the students' physical divergent thinking,abstract thinking and consciousness of physical model is established;(3)Application of mind map in physical mechanics teaching,help students,analyzed the knowledge structure,cultivate students summarizing ability and the ability of knowledge network is established;(4)Mind mapping is applied in higher physical mechanics teaching,opens the imagination of the student,students actively participate in the teachers' teaching activities,to enhance the interaction between students,between teachers,improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,to the effect of the high school physics classroom teaching and learning "has a certain optimization function.
