Negative Influences On College Students' Patriotism Concept And Its Countermeasures

In the 21 st century,people's life is more and more attached to the network with the rapid development of the Internet,especially to the college students who are the main group of network using.The effect of network on the college students is self-evident due to their physical and mental characteristics and circumstances.Network is not only an important channel for college student to get information,express feelings,and exchange ideas,but also a chance to change the way of thinking and behavior selection,including the influence on the patriotic ideas.It makes the cultivation of patriotic ideas for college students particularly important with the new network environment.As the main place for college students to live and study,college can make significant impacts on their ideas and behavior with proper and effective measures.It's necessary for college to enhance students' patriotic ideas under the Internet environment.This paper is based on analyzing the network environment and the idea of patriotism to find the negative influences of Internet environment on college students' idea of patriotism.As the main performer,college should propose effective measures to eliminate the negative impacts of network environment on college students' idea of patriotism and regulate their spirit of patriotism,in order to cultivate elitism for building socialism with Chinese characteristics.Patriotism is not only Chinese historical tradition,but also a timeless topic.It includes the people's deep attachment to their homeland and the sense of belonging and identity in the chasing of their own culture and homeland.As the core of national spirit,it regulates the relationship between person and his country with the code of Ethics.In China,patriotism is the core of the national spirit.It inherits Chinese culture and patriotism tradition,and advocates the national spirit.What's more,it's the need of building up national pride and self-esteem and safeguarding cultural independence.The development of the network provides a new environment for the cultivation of college students' idea of patriotism,but the richness of online resources,the open characters of cyberspace,the virtual characters of the internet world,the interactivity of network information and non-controllable network environment bring many negative effects to college students on the idea of patriotism.What's worse,they cannot get rid of the damages because of the limitations of themselves.Therefore,it is particularly important to help students establish the concept of patriotism in the network environment.Patriotism is the Chinese excellent tradition as a great mental strength which promotes the social wheels to continue moving forward.It has a different connotation in different historical periods due to the limitations in different social and historical conditions.In the current situation,domestic and foreign scholars do relatively few studies on patriotism under the Internet environment.As a historical category,patriotism has different characteristics in today's network environment and can not be equal to the traditional patriotism.Therefore,determining what is patriotism should be regarded as the starting point,which is also the basis for an expanded understanding of the patriotism concept.It is an urgent topic of combining network environment and the patriotism concept of college students.College students are the hope of the Chinese nation,the main force of the socialist modernization construction.Improving the ideological level of college students,establishing a firm political stance and political direction and resisting wrong ideas determine the future development of our society.First,this paper explains the background of network which effects college students' patriotism concept,analyzes the meaning and characteristics of the network and the meaning of network environment,then explores the connotations of the concept of patriotism and explains the value of contemporary college students' patriotism education.Due to the rich,open,virtual,interactive and non-control features,network becomes a mixed information bag which has a quite changeable environment.Based on the understanding of network and patriotism concept,this paper detail the specific performance of negative effects on students patriotism concept under the analysis of the national consciousness,the important status of traditional culture,ideology and rational patriotism spirit in second department,which are desalinating student's national consciousness,digesting student's identity of Chinese traditional culture,shaking student's belief on Socialist ideology and impacting student's rational patriotism spirit.In the last part,this paper proposes specific feasible countermeasures referencing the past research results and excellent theory: first,deepening national sovereignty and national self-esteem education to strengthen student's national consciousness;second,performing colorful of traditional culture publicity to enhance student's national self-confidence and pride;third,strengthening socialist core values education to firm student's belief on Socialist ideology;four,advancing variety form of patriotism practice to lead the development of college student's rational patriotism spirit.
