Under the background of senior chemistry course reform,the STSE teaching perspective has been promoting student's scientific literacy integrated development.Based on STSE teaching requirements,this paper takes an analytical study of the sodium carbonate manufacturing from sea water and industrial soda making in Subject 2 from senior chemistry book “Chemistry and Technology”(LuKe version)and makes an teaching case development of the issue “the development of sodium carbonate manufacturing technology” and takes a practical research on the base.The paper consists of following parts:ThePart 1,Introduction.This part introduces the research background,its meaning,the core concepts of STSE teaching and makes an summary of the related home-and-abroad researches.This part also briefly introduces the fundamental research method of this issue.Part 2,the theoretical basis of the research.This part elaborates the scientific coonotation of learning scientific basis and the effects and guiding suggestions of each theory in this teaching design.Part 3,the textbook content analysis based on senior chemistry course standards and STSE teaching requirements.This paper is a research that analyzes the Subject 2 content of “Chemistry and Technology”(LuKe version).Firstly,it makes an analysis into the textbook body and the practice part from the perspective of course standards requirements.The conclusions are as follows:(1)This subject has basically realized the course standards in the following aspects: it has a abundant content,a broad knowledge scope involved and also has combined the STSE materials.(2)This subject supplemented content beyond the course standards requirement in the form of program.(3)Some points are inconsistent with the course standard,and the integrated use of sea water isn't mentioned in the textbook.(4)There are various forms of exercises,while practical and social ones are few.Teaching suggestions based on the conclusions above:(1)Teaching should be under the real situations;(2)Hold the relationship between course standard and textbook content properly,and integrate the teaching resources;(3)Ensure the overall realization of statistics target;(4)Make the exercises various and emphasize the affection penetration;(5)Be good at utilizing the columns and play the functional values of different columns.Secondly,the paper takes an analysis into the Subject 2 content in the requirements of STSE teaching,here are the conclusions:(1)On the whole,it is clear that appreciating STSE teaching has been realized from the four perspectives of chemistry and life,technology,society and environment,thus the different level targets and requirements of STSE teaching are attained.(2)There are abundant teaching content columns set in the textbook.(3)The STSE teaching content displayed in the subject is quite abundant,but there is a lack of display way.There is no requirement after the STSE related columns,for example,such columns as “Materials Online”,”Horizon Expansion” are likely to cause the result that students may lose the motivation to keep on due to the lack of detailed aims after self-study before class.(4)The exercises in the subject are of various kinds,thus basically reaching the STSE teaching aims.Some teaching advice based on the conclusions above:(1)List some requirements selectively after the column materials;(2)add STSE teaching thoughts into the experiment part;(3)carry out STSE teaching while combining the local resources;(4)guide the students into forming the STSE thinking pattern;(5)be good at utilizing the STSE teaching columns;(6)Choose the exercises close to the practice to understand STSE thought more deeply.Part 4,design of teaching case development.Based on the conclusion and suggestions of the third part,with the theory of proximal development zone,constructivism learning theory,cooperative learning theory as instruction,with curriculum standards and STSE education requirements as the basis for the teaching design case development,this part makes the teaching case design of "the development of soda ash manufacturing technology" and puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies for the case.Part 5,Teaching practice study.After teaching practice and from the perspective of STSE teaching,conclusions as follows are drawn after being tested in the ways of classroom observation and test score:(1)students' learning interest and learning ability are obviously improved;(2)the student's test scores significantly improved;(3)students' forming scientific values are further encouraged.In summary,to study from the STSE perspective and carry out the three-dimensional objectives can help realize the educational ideas and targets of the new curriculum reform.Part 6,the conclusion & prospect.To the conclusions and suggestions in each part of the study,this part makes corresponding summaries,makes an objective analysis of the deficiencies of the study,pointing out the study is to be further improved and providing instructional suggestions for subsequent studies.
