Investigation On Willingness Of High Level Referees During The Reformation Of Basketball Referee Professionalization In China

With the level of professionalism of high-level basketball matches in China getting higher,as an important part of the basketball games,the refrees are still composed of amateur refrees.Because of the problems refrees met in games during the past few years,there is a considerable incompatible condition between the development of refrees and the league.Thus,the appeals for professional refrees get stronger and stronger.In this paper,based on the existing research,an investigation on the intensions,appeals,views,comments and suggestions of the refrees,who are the major part of the reform,is conducted.The causes of their real intensions are analyzed.It is supposed that this research could provide some basic references for relevant departments introducing policies on the professionalism reform of refrees,thus promoting the basketball refrees of our country heading towards professionalism.The professional refrees,as a nascent occupation,must select high-level refreeswho are capable to officiate the professional leagues such as the CBA and WCBA at the present stage.In this paper,the document-data method,interviewing method,questionnaire method,mathematical statistics method and logic analysis method are used to investigate the opinions of the high-level refrees officiating high-level games on the professionalism reform of basketball refrees.The conclusions are as follows:1 In consideration of the development tendency of world basketball and the need of our high-level professional leagues,the significance of a professional refree team is obvious.Thus,the high-level refrees generally consider it necessary to professionalize the refrees.But on the other hand,they also think that as the relevant systems imperfect and construction of relevant aspects not yet mature,the professionalism still needs time and should not be over hastiness.2 There is a huge gap between the aspiration of the high-level refrees on professionalism and the polices of current state.Aspects including but not limited to payment treatment,professional training,promotion mechanism and retirement still need to be perfected.As for the reasons of the wait-and-see attitude of the high-level refrees,it is the fact that the current amateur refree regime is far behind the need of professional refrees that blocked them out of the rank of professional refrees.3 Once the professional refrees step onto the stage,a highly supporting environment is greatly needed.As a nascent occupation,correlative regulations and laws are needed as a guarantee.Besides,considering the particularity of the profession as a refree,professional medical care teams should also be taken into account.And further more,as a highly specialized occupation,mainstream media are responsible to lead the public to treat the judgements of refrees correctly and sanely,allowing the refrees to dispense from the pressure of the consensus.Based on the investigation and analysis mentioned above,some suggestions are proposed:1 Improve the treatment of professional refrees,attracting the high-level refrees to turn professional.2 Take full advantage of time out of competition seasons to hold unified trainings for refrees.3 Establish an effective regime on the selection,promoting and withdrawal of professional refrees.4 Establish the security system for professional refrees,utilizing medical care,media coverage and other correlative techniques to support the refrees and lengthen their professional life.
