"The problem is the heart of mathematics",the key to the teaching of mathematics in middle school.In the learning process students will inevitably make mistakes.How to un derstand their mistakes and how to effectively solve the problems are things middle school te achers value a lot.Here are 3 main causes for their mistakes: carelessness;misunderstanding or the lack of a deep understanding of the theorems orconcepts;the lack of flexibility in using formulas.It is understandable and reasonable for students to make some mistakes.Based on the analysis of the classification of different types of problems,this essay has proposed a unifi ed approach to mistake collection,which can expose students' thinking process and problems.Collecting mistakes not only helps students be aware of their own mistakes but also provides directions for teachers in order to decrease careless mistakes in students' work and develop the ir mathematics learning ability.Firstly,this essay classifies problems of students and then puts forward the strategy to co llect mistakes and the corresponding teaching models and topics.In order to reflect the effecti veness of teaching and research,two classes have been chosen to do comparative study.The one that has applied the strategy for two years has witnessed an obvious growing in the test s cores.
