Study On The Voluntary Services Of Returned College Students In Baisha

In recent years,China's voluntary service develops rapidly.College students,who would like to return home as a volunteer,play an important role in local economic and social development.Inconvenient in transportation,Baisha Li autonomous county,which lies in the middle of Hainan province,is respectively backward in economic development.Thereby college students,who are high-educated and professional in certain fields,are much more required in this area for voluntary services.To combine their knowledge and skills to the current situation of Baisha county,it will provide a new direction and thoughts to better serve in Baisha's development.The voluntary service conducted by returned college students is started from 2012 in Baisha.After carrying out a large of volunteer activities,Baisha's voluntary services has formed a fine developmental model and got a good grade.Meanwhile,there are some deficiencies.This paper aims to find out the relevant problems and causes,and then provide countermeasures for its further development.By analyzing documents and examples,conducting survey and interviewing,this paper will make a deep study in returned college students' volunteer work.The questionaire is handed out during the conferences and in the Internet.Based on questionaire,I interviewed some outstanding volunteers and organizations such as The Young League of Baisha county,Propaganda Department.The conclusions are drawn from the methods taken above.There are many problems existed in volunteer service in Baisha area,such as college students' lack of self-consciousness,diversification and complication of motivations,the lack of management talents,funds,and social attentions.By analyzing the problems,we noticed that the causes are students' lack of subjective initiative and time;the organization of volunteer is short of a sound system;furthermore,Baisha's economy is much lower than the average level.Based on the problems and causes above,we suggest that college students should improve their self-conciousness and service ability.For the volunteer organization,attentions should be paid to the long-term mechanism construction and communication,as well as the establishment of the service platform,strengthen the publicity and supervision evaluation of the social level,increase funding support and other countermeasures.
