| This study intends to analyze the behavior model and characteristics of middle-aged groups on WeChat.Social networks provide the middle-aged groups with new forms of social interaction and relationship models,but the middle-aged groups are still faced with new challenges brought by unique self-presentation strategy and interaction models on social network.This study performed with a questionnaire and combined with the characteristics of WeChat and the interpersonal features of middle-aged groups,intends to work through the self-presentation and interaction on WeChat and analyze the impression management,the quantity and quality of WeChat friends,the construction and destruction of social relations and WeChat relation’s influence on social capital.As a conclusion,we found that middle-aged people try to present self with inspiring stories and relaxing leisure contents in the WeChat circle,and middle-aged groups prefer the extension of reality relationships on the WeChat network.Besides,WeChat is largely controlled by acquaintance chain,which motivates the middle-aged people’s communication on the network.The study on WeChat social network makes every effort to avoid the simplified coverage of the usage on social network.We hope to insert WeChat social network into the more complicated social interaction of the middle-aged groups to have a deep study on the social interaction of middle-aged groups.This research attempts to seek a reasonable frame for the explanation of the virtual interaction,for the benefit of future research on generational differences on social network. |
