| English writing is a basic way to test students’ ability of language output,it also makes a great importance to their communicative competence.Therefore,experts and scholars abroad and at home explore different ways to improve students’ English writing ability.Among them,brainstorming as a kind of new teaching method can mobilize students’ minds to write through motivating their imagination.Recently,more and more teachers introduce this method to their English writing teaching.To investigate the application of brainstorming in English writing,the author takes Mudanjiang No.2 senior high school as the research object.There are 260 questionnaires of students and 40 questionnaires of teachers to investigate their cognition and attitude toward the brainstorming strategy in specific classroom activities.On this basis,in order to ensure the accuracy of this survey,the author chooses 30 students who have finished the questionnaires for interview,and then the classroom observation is needed to combine with the results of questionnaires and interview.SPSS 22.0 and EXCEL are used to test reliability and validity of the questionnaires and give the statistic analysis.The results of this investigation show that most English teachers can put the method of brainstorming into English writing more effectively.Senior high school students are satisfied with this new teaching method and agree that it is a easy way to improve their enthusiasm and confidence of English writing.It also proves that this teaching method can motivate the classroom atmosphere and build up a good relationship between teachers and students.Meanwhile,this investigation is helpful to the further study of the application of brainstorming in English writing teaching. |
