With the implementation of the new curriculum reform,in order to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching,teachers have struggled to find a better teaching mode.The information technoligies change rapidly,causing more scholars' attention,who try to combine it with the education.After long time,practice and exploration,they created the "flipping the classroom" teaching mode.The author tries to apply this mode to chemical elements and compounds teaching in "Required Course 1,Chemistry",hoping to change the situation of "hard teachers,hard students".This paper encountered from the actual teaching problems in the elements and their compounds and analysed the significance of this research.The author applied this teaching mode in class on the basis of "flipping class"theory,and designed typical cases.In the process of implementation of the two classes of students in their teaching as the research object,in the PEP compulsory 1 of the third chapter "metals and their compounds",the fourth chapter "non metals and their compounds,the author adopts a series of methods for the analysis of the effectiveness of the research.The results show that students are very satisfied with this teaching mode,very actively involved in class and all agree that this mode improves their learning efficiency.Most students also think that the element and its compounds in this part of the knowledge have more notes,more new knowledge to explain and to understand,so it's better to put the study before class,so they have enough time to cooperate with each other in class.For teachers,we can arrange class better with this teaching mode.
