Logical thinking is the basis for students' further learning.Promoting students'logical thinking not only conforms to the requirements of quality education and basic education,but also makes contribution to the cultivation of talents in science field.The high school is the optimum period for students to develop their logical thinking.All teachers should figure out how to cultivate the students' logical thinking in their teaching activities.The questions,including what kind of teaching contents can help to develop students' logical thinking in chemistry class of high school and how to effectively improve students' logical thinking in teaching program,should be thought over by the chemistry teachers in senior high school.The students'analysis on problems in classroom exercises and homework is implicit,so teachers cannot know students,thinking program.This paper tries to study the application of oral report method(also called vocal-thinking method)in the after-school training of chemical elements and compounds,making the thinking process of students more explicit to others.Teachers find there are some defects in students' logical thinking while solving chemical problems through analyzing the students' oral report,and then adopt the third method of oral report--vocal teaching method to help students find their own thinking shortcomings and correct them.Finally,the author tries to explore some operational strategies to develop students' logical thinking ability through the implementation of the training programs.The author explores the role of logical thinking ability in promoting students'chemistry performance through the investigation and research,and does the theoretical research to put forward the feasibility of developing students' logical thinking ability from different aspects.This experimental research verifies that the learning of element compound promotes the logical thinking ability of students and affirms the positive effect of vocal-thinking method in developing students' logical thinking ability;On the basis of theoretical and experimental research,the author combines with the teachers interviews to put forward operational strategies for the development of logical thinking ability,aiming at improve the logical thinking deficits in students' solving chemical problems and in the experiment.This paper is divided into six parts.The first part introduces the background of the study,including the research significance,purpose,content and methods.The second part is the literature review,introducing the core concepts involved in this study and the results of previous studies.The third part is the theoretical research,putting forward the feasibility of developing students' logical thinking ability in the learning of element compounds through the literature analysis.The fourth part is the experimental study,including the overall arrangement and analysis of the experimental results.The fifth part puts forward the specific strategies to improve and develop the logical thinking defects of high school students on the basis of theoretical and experimental research.The sixth part draws the conclusion of this research,including the research conclusion and reflection,and the prospect of the research.The results of this study show that the logical thinking ability and the learning of element and compound can promote each other,high logical thinking ability can effectively improve students' chemistry performance,making use of internal logic between the elements and their compounds can develop students' logical thinking ability;vocal-thinking training can effectively develop students' logical thinking ability and improve students' chemistry performance.
