A Study On The Intervention Of Case Work On The Mental Problems Of Children Of Psychiatric Patients

In recent years,the prevalence of mental illness between Chinese adult population has risen rapidly.Not only the overwhelming financial burden,psychiatric patients aslo bring enormous stress to their families,especially to their children.Due to various factors,psychiatric patients's children tend to be in the high risk population of mental illness.However,psychiatric patients's children always be the neglected group in reality,the attetion from society or academy to the scilent group is not enough while the existing welfare focus on the family financial benefits.Engaging with those psychiatric patients's children,paying attention to their mental health,serving to them is the professional responsibility and mission of social workers,aslo the inevitable outcome of developing genaration.To investigate and analyze the behaviors and causes of mental problems of children of psychiatric patients through literature research and field study,a case of children of a psychiatric patients living on X street in S city was selected as study object.Based on the result,social network theory and psychosocial approach were used as the basic theories to research on the intervention of a psychotric patient's children so as to find out how to better use case work methods to interfere and solve the mental problems of children of psychiatric patients.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,the purpose and significance of the research,the research status and research design at home and abroad.The second part is the background of the case work.This part mainly introduces the basic situation of the project at C organization and the children of psychotics,and analyzes the performance and causes of their psychological problems.The third part chooses two representative cases,and analyzes the intervention process of the case work in the mental problems of children of psychotics.This section includes case studies,problem requirements and assessments,service plans,service implementation processes and performance descriptions and assessments and closures.The study found after the intervention through case work methods,that it has effectively alleviated their psychological problems.The fourth part is the reflection on the psychological problems of children involved in case work.This part analyzes the achievements and shortcomings of the case work.On the one hand,it maximizes the strengths of family support,achieves the cooperation of direct treatment and the indirect treatment,flexibly uses several methods and shows respects to the potential and life value of the study group.On the other hand,there are some problems in the handling of the"empathy" of the subject,some lack of the construction of the social support network,some lack of estimates of the instability and periodicity of the psychological problems,and some lack of follow-up attention to the study group.Finally,this part puts forward suggestions and countermeasures to enhance the handling ability of the "empathy" problem,improve the construction of the social support network,fully understand the characteristics of psychological problems and strengthen the follow-up attention to the study group.The fifth part is the conclusion of the paper.
