Since sociology was introduced into China in the late 19th century and early 20th century, indigenization has been an important issue. The previous work on sociological indigenization mainly concentrated on its process, character and connotation. This paper is not only limited in these points and tries to seek an epochal and national character comparative study. On the one hand, this paper makes a profound discussion about the social-history background of sociological indigenization process in China; On the other hand, it makes a comparative analysis for sociological indigenization process in United States and the Soviet union which had an significant influence on China. And this paper tries to escape from the narrow view of "the true face of Lushan is lost to my sight, for it is right in this mountain that I reside " when people try to understand the Chinese sociological indigenization process. They reach the same goal that is what are the features of Chinese sociology and how it is formed in comparison to other countries. This article criticized two viewpoints about the theory of sociological indigenization through literature research. One is that sociology is a scientific discipline of scientific universality and regularity, hence indigenization is meaningless; The other is a kind of view which is similar to the "oppression-resistance". In this view, the nativist orientation of sociology considers the indigenization as countries and nations' resistance to the cultural colonization or academic colonial of dominant countries. Moreover, this paper presents: (1)the sociological localization processes of different countries are of variability and firmly embedded in the native political, economic and social structure; (2) the characters of sociology in different countries are of stability and respectively shaped by their traditional civilization; (3) central region of sociology plays an obviously leading role on the frontiers;(4) the characters of Chinese sociology are significantly different from others due to the social transformation and the profound historical -cultural features; (5) at present, with the new social reality and the historical opportunity, it is an important turning point to return to life for the sinicized sociology.
