It is transition time to the Chinese Christianity University history in 1920's--1930's. Because of the China national movement unceasingly surges upward with national university's starting as well as the factors of Christianity university ,the Christianity university faced with two big challenges: Firstly, it must readjust the relations between the school authority and the government, the religious and the education relations to adapt the China's national mood; Secondly , it must meet the Chinese national condition need, to adopt the new school policy and the policy and strengthen the competition ability with national university. This adjustment process is the Christianity university the indigenization process. This kind of transformation is not completely from the Christianity university's subjective desire, or the result of Non- Christianity movement, reclamation education power movement and Northern Expedition, but is in the evolution foundation which many year accumulations evolves, is urged the Chinese society pressure after the sudden change to become. This kind" hastens changes" the characteristic which and "the sudden change" unifies, also has reflected at that time the national Christianity university localization general character. Therefore, from this time, China's Christianity university gradually has stepped onto the localization path, realized its role to transform, has all had the very tremendous influence in various aspects.This dissertation has explored the indigenization to the Christianity University focused on the private Lingnan University in 1920's--1930's, has analyzed the indigenization, its background, process comport , characteristics and significances. This is not only the summary of the experiences to the foreign Christianity higher education but also the introspection of history of domestic private higher education. The target is to offer some historical experiences for development of the present non-governmental higher education of our country.
