| In 2009,China’s General Administration of Sport and the Ministry of Education jointly released A Notice about Developing the National Youth Campus Football Activity,to called on the national primary and secondary schools to carry out campus football.After three years of development,in 2012,5 cities including Wuhan became the first batch of Chinese football development pilot cities.In 2015,the State Council of China issued China’s Overall Plan for the Reform and Development of Football,and emphasized the importance of the development of the campus football to an unprecedented height.In order to promote the development of campus football,the Ministry of Education announced the 2015 national youth campus football school list,and Wuhan has 39 schools,including 6 high schools,in the list,ranking among the top of the country.The issues of the development of campus football began to attract wide attention.By using literature research method,interview,logical analysis,questionnaires and mathematical statistics analysis,this paper studies the current situation of the high schools with campus football features in Wuhan,aimed to analyze the issues in the development of high school campus football in Wuhan,and puts forward suggestions for the better development of Wuhan campus football.This study leads to the following conclusions:1.There are significant correlations between the variables of the attitude of the parents of the students from these schools,including the parents’ favorable degree of football,the understanding of the campus football,and the degree of the support.Parents,support for their children to participate in football is not very high.The main reasons are that they are worried that their children’s academic performance can be affected and may get injured while taking part in the football activities.2.The students in these high schools are more interested in football,and the main motivation is that football can strengthen the body.3.These high schools all offer football courses,however,the students do not like them.Causes include:first,the students are averse to disciplines required in the course;second,teachers pay more attention to the results rather than the cultivation of students’ interest;third,the curriculums are not reasonable,and high intensity and excessive amount of exercise lead to student’s averseness;fourth,teachers attach importance to the cultivation of elite players,while ignoring the popularity of football.4.In the extracurricular activities of these high schools,the number of the students to choose football activities is small,and the majority are boys.5.These high schools all have their own football teams,but most of them are men’s teams,hardly any women’s football team.Most of these high schools have school level competitions,but the number of the matches is rather small.6.In these high schools,the number of football special physical education teachers meet the basic needs,but the enthusiasm of the teachers is not very high.The causes are low subsidies for the training coaches and the lack of full-time football coaches.Physical education teachers are aging and gender imbalance,for football special female physical education teachers are very few.The abilities of teaching,scientific research and training of football special physical education teachers are quite strong.7.The football fields of these high schools meet the demand of the students,but the students are less satisfaction with the lack of football training equipment and facilities.8.The propaganda of these high schools is inadequate,and the forms are changeless,mainly board poster.According to the actual situation of the high school with campus football features in Wuhan,after analyzing the issues of the development of the high school campus football,this paper puts forward suggestions in these aspects.First,improve the attitude of the parents for their children to participate in campus football.Second,improve students’interest of football course.Third,increase the participation degree of girls’ soccer extracurricular activities.Fourth,build a campus football match system.Fifth,raise the enthusiasm of the football special teacher.Sixth,ensure the special funds for football and broaden the channels of funds.In addition,increase the publicity of campus football activities. |
