Today,it's easy to face setback and failure for college students when they are under the influence of various factors,especially under the increasing pressure and social competition.In the circumstance,they may feel dispirited and lack of the confidence.On the other hand,they will show slow in reacting,low engagement and indifference on the relationship with others in study,which is a symptom of low general self-efficacy.As an ability to improve the non-congenital factor,general self-efficacy has plasticity for a person development.This is not only an important reason for students to study hard,but also for students to develop long-term important conditions.Besides,it can reflect whether the students have confidence,which has a very important role for the teacher to find whether students lack of self-confidence and reflect on students' mental status.For this study,it was to investigate the factors which were affecting the general self-efficacy of college students from the angle of education management,in order to help students get rid of the status that loose of spirit,certain depression and retreat the choose when they meet difficulties.These phenomenon were called ‘powerlessness' or ‘lack of motivation',so that it is necessary to develop a student's general self-efficacy effect.Therefore,this paper investigates the status of self-efficacy by using the general self-efficacy scale(GSES)in the questionnaire survey for freshman and senior students of Z College of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Z Pharmaceutical University,and to understand what factors affect students' Self-efficacy 120 copies of the questionnaire,the effective recovery of 112 questionnaires,using SPSS16 statistical software for data processing analysis.The conclusions are as follows:(1)The self-efficacy of male and female college students was significantly different.Male college students GSES score was higher than female college students.(2)There was a significant difference in self-efficacy between urban and rural students,The GSES scores of urban students were higher than those of rural students.(3)There was a significant difference in self-efficacy between freshmen and senior students.The GSES scores for freshman students are higher than those of senior students.(4)There was a significant difference in self-efficacy between the only child and the non-only child.The GSES score for the only child was higher than that of the non-only child.(5)There was a significant difference in self-efficacy between two different major that was Clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine.The GSES score for Clinical Traditional Chinese Medicine students was higher than that of the Traditional Chinese Medicine.
