The study is based on the careful analysis of relative documents about senior high school English teaching. It uses the software of Bicomb and SPSS 20 to analyze 207 pieces of documents which are from CNKI and Vip between 1985 and 2000 and 705 pieces of documents which are from CNKI between 2001 and 2016, drawing the mapping knowledge domain about the research of senior high school English teaching before and after Curriculum Reform of Elementary Education respectively. Meanwhile,the study analyzes the hotspots' distribution and the research scheme about the two periods, making a comparison to find the weaknesses of senior high school English teaching research. For current weaknesses, the study puts forward significant suggestions.There are five parts in fullPart 1: Introduction. It mainly analyzes the research background,significance and current situation of the discipline development, and introduces the research content and ideas.Part 2: Study Design. This part mainly introduces the source and choice of documents and methods used in the paper.Part 3: Results and Analysis. This part is the core part, using the analysis of high frequency keywords, the analysis of high frequency keywords Ochiai coefficient of similarity matrix, the analysis of high frequency keywords clustering figure and knowledge map and the analysis of hotspots knowledge mapping on the basis of content analysis method to introduce the hotspots' distribution and weaknesses about senior high school English teaching of two periods.Part 4: Reflection and Suggestion. This part combs the research thread about senior high school English teaching of two periods, finds the weaknesses of senior high school English teaching research, and puts forward significant suggestions for current weaknessesPart 5: Innovations and Deficiencies.
