| STS education emphasizes the interrelationships between science,technology and society.It emphasizes the value tropism during understanding and handling the relationship of technology and society.STS education has been introduced to China since the 1980s.In recent years,STS education even has been written into the new curriculum of the high school biology.In a manner of speaking,the implementation of STS education in senior high school has become a trend of development.This paper summarized the definition and education purpose of STS,the purpose and significance of the study and research situation.Through analyzing the STS spirit in new curriculum standard,the status of ’ Stable state and Environment",the proportion and the content of STS test questions in biology entrance examination,this paper established the importance,necessity and feasibility of adopting to STS education in high school biology.In order to put STS education into practice effectively,after analyzing the content of STS education in the teaching materials,this paper proposed that we can penetrate STS education in class and homework,and introduced the specific methods.We selected four classes as controlled experiments.STS teaching experiment was carried out on the three sections of Steady State and Environment.By comparing the student’s academic performance before and after the experiment,and understanding the teaching effect of STS education and students’ attitude and interest in STS education through questionnaire,research results show that STS education can improve students’comprehensive ability.However,in order to achieve good teaching results,continuous exploration and improvement in the long term practice are needed.According to the characteristics of students,reasonable choice of STS education content and appropriate infiltration are needed.In short,although there are a lot of STS educational contents in Steady State andEnvironment,it is not necessary for every class to be deliberately infiltrated.Due to the complexity of the actual situation and limited level of knowledge and ability of myself,this paper only makes a preliminary attempt on the method of how make rational utilization and effective implementation.It is expected to offer references to the majority of teachers.It is expected that more educational researchers can focus on the STS education in Steady State and Environment. |
