The Research Of Culture Of "Sa"'s Regional Differences And Its Modern Value

Doing minority is mainly located around the tri-province border area of Hunan,Guangzhou and Guangxi,and its folk religion is vast.They believe animism and believe that everything in the world is dominated by the gods which have influence on people's lives.Among polytheistic worship,“Sa” is the most extensive belief and believed by Dong people most.“Sa” in the Dong language means grandmother,and she is goddess who gets the most widespread worship.In Dong community,“Sa” is regarded to be the most powerful goddess and she can be in charge of everything in the world.In the past research,the number of the works about “Sa” from the respective of functionalism is very large,and most of them laid stress on the discussion of the origin of “Sa”.Although this paper is also in the respective of functionalism,and on the basis of functionalism,the key point is to do the research of regional differences of “Sa”and its modern values.This paper mainly chooses three typical villages in the tri-province border area of Hunan,Guangzhou and Guangxi,which is Gaobu,Bapa and Huanggang as the fieldwork investigation points.It does the comparative analysis on the reasons of the regional differences from four parts: the origin of “Sa”,the way and time of sacrificing “Sa”,the social position of “Sa” and the inheritance and development of “Sa”,from which the factors that will influence the inheritance and development of “Sa” can be gained and then proceed to the next step to discuss the modern value of “Sa” culture.
