Mathematics reading is an important way to inherit the mathematics culture and enhance the mathematics achievement.With the constant depth of course reform,mathematics reading has won wide concerns of scholar.However,there are few studies on the habits and methods of mathematics reading,especially for the study of mathematics reading habits and methods of high school students in ethnic areas.The research is based on theoretical thinking and realistic pursuit and combined with the practical situation of high first grade students and high second grade students in minority regions,take questionnaire data on mathematics reading habit and methods of senior high school students in minority regions as the guide,combined with case interviews,try to understand basic information for mathematics reading habit and methods of senior high school students in minority regions,explore and analyze its influence factor respectively from seven aspects:mathematics reading content,reading method,reading time,reading scheme,reading motivation,reading environment and reading attitude.Through analysis on questionnaire survey and case study,basic information for mathematics reading habit and methods of senior high school students in minority regions is as follow:(1)But for gender,there is no significant difference between male and female in seven aspects,but overall level is not very ideal which is in the lower middle level.(2)But for nationality,there is a significant difference between of the Han,Zhuang,Yao and Jing nationality in reading content and reading scheme,reading content and reading scheme of the Jing nationality is significantly greater than that of the Han,Zhuang and Yao nationality.(3)But for grade,there is a significant difference between high first grade students and high second grade students in reading motivation,there is no difference in other aspects.Reading motivation of high second grade students are significantly higher than that of high first grade students.(4)As for performance,correlationship between mathematics reading habit and mathematical achievement is significant,mathematical achievement of tested group who gets higher score in mathematics reading habit and methods is also higher.On the contrary,mathematical achievement of tested group who gets lower score in mathematics reading habit and methods is also lower.There are significant differences between students at different levels in reading content,reading method,reading time,reading scheme and reading environment.But no difference between students at different levels in reading motivation and reading attitude.In the end,analyze the source for differences existed in mathematics reading habit and methods of senior high school students in minority regions through theoretical speculation and experience summary and provide the improving suggestions:(1)Arouse interest to improve initiative for mathematics reading;(2)Prepare for reading step by step to strengthen planning of mathematics reading;(3)Change concept to improve attitude toward mathematics reading;(4)Apply four method for "listening,speaking,reading and writing to conduct advancing on the whole.
