Interpersonal adaptability of students with mental retardation,namely the mental ability of students with mental retardation that was formatted in the process of interpersonal communication,which is an important manifestation of mentally retarded students' interpersonal communication.Meanwhile it's benefit for these students to communicate with others fluently.In order to find out the current situation and characteristics of the interpersonal adaptability of the mentally retarded students,and to provide the corresponding educational suggestions for the special education schools to cultivate and improve the interpersonal adaptability of the mentally retarded students.This research adopts the self-designed "mental retarded students school interpersonal adaptability questionnaire" as a tool to investigate thirty-seven counties' disabled students of ten cities in Jiangxi province with the way of collecting assessment of teacher.And we use the statistical software SPSS23.0 to analysis the data.In the end,the main research conclusions are as follows:(1)The interpersonal adaptability of students with mental retardation is a multi-dimensional structure.The interpersonal factors of students with mental retardation are influenced by themselves,their family,school,society and so on.We need all kinds of resources and support to cultivate them.(2)The school interpersonal adaptability of students with mental retardation are in the middle level,but the development of the three dimensions is not balanced.The score of school interpersonal cognitive are the highest and higher than the critical value.And the score of school interpersonal reflection and school interpersonal interaction are lower than the critical value,in which the score of the interpersonal interaction are the lowest.More attention should be paid to the current situation of school interpersonal adaptability of mentally retarded students.We should cultivate them in a reasonable way.The poor interpersonal adaptability of students with mental retardation is mainly reflected in the following aspects: less emotion expression and communication,unsharp verbal exposition,low-level verbal understanding,disobedience instruction,less interaction.(3)Mental retardation students got higher score in the aspect that they are more familiar with.We should pay more attention to the students' individuality in the education by introducing new knowledge from simple things that they understand which could make them adapting to new things quickly.(4)The interpersonal adaptability mentally retarded students has no difference in gender and whether single-child,but in disorder degree,grade,area and whether has the experience of class leader.In particular,the lower-level of intellectual disabilities,the better the development of interpersonal adaptability.And the interpersonal adaptability of students in middle stage is the highest,meanwhile the high stage is little lower than the middle.The interpersonal adaptability of students in city-level special education school is better than county-level special education.Students who ever were class leader is better than who were not in the interpersonal adaptability.After the data analyses,the author interview with ten teachers who has the experience of teaching special children.The results of the questionnaire are verified,and the influencing factors and training methods of the interpersonal adaptability of the mentally retarded students are discussed.Finally,based on the above conclusions,the author puts forward some educational suggestions as following for school to improve the students' interpersonal adaptability.
