Interpersonal adaptation is an important part of social adaptation.The improvement of students' interpersonal adaptability will not only bring them good mental health,but also help them adapt to the environment better and faster,and perform better in their studies.The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of group psychological guidance on the interpersonal adaptability of freshmen,so as to provide effective and practical group psychological guidance for freshmen to improve interpersonal adaptability.This is conducive to promoting the connection of primary and secondary school psychological education,helping freshmen in junior high school adapt to junior high school life as soon as possible;it is also conducive to enrich the training program of interpersonal adaptability,and provide reference for mental health education teachers.The research idea of this study is based on the literature review of interpersonal adaptability,group counseling and other contents,according to the existing research and practical needs to explore:(1)the characteristics of interpersonal adaptability of Freshmen in grade one.(2)The influence of group counseling on the interpersonal adaptability of freshmen.In the first part,the interpersonal adaptability of 639 freshmen in a middle school in Banan District of Chongqing was investigated by questionnaire.The second part of the study uses the educational experiment method to explore whether group psychological guidance can improve the interpersonal adaptability of freshmen.In this study,two parallel classes in grade one of junior high school in Banan District of Chongqing were randomly assigned to the experimental group and the control group.The intervention program was designed with interpersonal adaptability as the theme.10 group psychological counseling sessions were conducted in the experimental group,while no interpersonal counseling sessionswere conducted in the control group.The results show that:1.The level of interpersonal adaptability of Freshmen in the first year of junior high school is generally in good condition,in the upper middle level.2.The interpersonal adaptability of the freshmen in the first year of junior high school shows significant differences in gender and family education style,but there is no difference in family atmosphere.The specific performance is as follows: the scores of girls in the total average score of interpersonal adaptability,interpersonal cognition and interpersonal interaction are significantly higher than that of boys.3.After the intervention of group psychological guidance,the experimental group was significantly better than the control group in terms of interpersonal cognition,interpersonal interaction and overall interpersonal adaptability.Specifically,the experimental group students in self-knowledge,absorption,relationship cognition,insight,information transmission,cooperation,empathy,autonomy,reflective nine aspects of the situation to be significantly better than the control group.4.After the intervention of group counseling,the overall interpersonal adaptability and interpersonal interaction of the experimental group students were significantly better than before the intervention,but the improvement in interpersonal cognition was not obvious.Specifically speaking,compared with before intervention,after group counseling,students' situation in six aspects of absorption,insight,empathy,autonomy,regulation and reflection has been significantly improved.In general,the research shows that group counseling can effectively improve the interpersonal adaptability of Freshmen in the first grade of junior high school,and it is an effective way for schools to improve the interpersonal adaptability of students and carry out mental health education.
