In the era of knowledge economy, new requirements are put forward for the cultivation of talents: the students should not only be able to solve all kinds of complex problems, but also be able to innovate and create. However, the traditional teaching methods of blackboard and chalk in the classroom teaching for its cure, low efficiency, low volume characteristics, stifle the learner's creativity, reverse thinking and divergent thinking ability, leading to school teaching and the cultivation of today's information society innovation, runs counter to the objective of creating talents. The rapid development of information technology and the Internet provides a new idea for school teaching reform.As a new type of information technology tool which integrates digital,gameplay,interactivity and dynamic, virtual learning tools provides a more vivid, concrete and convenient teaching and learning style for teachers and students. Based on this, this study attempts to apply the virtual learning tools to the teaching of biological classrooms,construct the teaching model based on virtual learning tools, and use the model as the theoretical guidance to carry out the practice of education and teaching in order to improve the teaching effect of education and help education reform.Firstly, this paper analyzes the relevant theoretical basis of virtual learning tools teaching, and combs the connotation of virtual learning tools application in teaching. Then,based on the existing biology teaching status, combined with the basic theory of virtual learning tools teaching, to construct the teaching model of virtual learning tools. Finally,take two classes high school students in Suzhou as the research object to carry out the teaching experiment,and verify the validity of the model to guide teaching practice.Through the analysis of the data collected in the course of the experiment (including the questionnaire data and interview data), it is found that: (1)virtual learning tools teaching can improve students' learning interest and attention; (2) virtual learning tools for its vivid and figurative features, reduce the cognitive load of students;(3)students believe that the teaching of virtual learning tools is not only helpful to their learning effect, but also to promote their cooperative learning ability in the classroom, and hoping to use virtual learning tools in more classes;(4) teachers also embrace the teaching of virtual learning tools, which can be more convenient to impart learning content. Through the analysis of the above results, the conclusion is drawn that the teaching of virtual learning tools has a wide application prospect. In the end, this paper makes a reflection and prospect of the application of virtual learning tools in subject teaching,which lays a solid foundation for the improvement?perfection and application of the teaching of virtual learning tools.
