Application of models has a long history in middle school biology teaching, and more and more attention. Computer technology and multimedia technology as the carrier of virtual reality technology to the development of great development and progress model has injected new vitality. It’s possible to apply the virtual model to biology education. The virtual model is intuitive, interactive, low cost, and students are interested in it. The design and application of the virtual model has brought us a unique teaching tool and a new educational thinking. This study based on constructivism, inquiry learning theory and Biology curriculum standard as the goal. 3ds max and Excel were the main design software.I designed the virtual model of the DNA double helix and the fluid mosaic model and the model of population change and the use of Google body browser in junior high school biology teaching. Some designs were used in junior high school biology teaching, others not. Goals of the study are helping biology teaching, promoting research and application of virtual models in high school biology education, improving teaching quality.Based on teaching, questionnaire and statistical analysis concluded that: Using of virtual models in biology teaching is feasible; Teachers and students are very interested in virtual models; Teachers can learn how to use virtual models easily; Virtual model does not replace the traditional model.
