As an important place for informal learning, museum learning is gradually valued by people. It has become an important task of the museum to meet the needs of visitors to learn in it. Nowadays, the learning space of museum is shifting from the single to the diversity, while, virtual stadiums is a form of museum learning.To summarize the previous research, we can find that all kinds of museums share a similar form of preaching. Through the "fast food type" introduction by the tour guide, the students are forced to learn passively in the museum, which runs counter to the education concept of the museum. Under this situation, some researches put task study into museum learning so as to provider learners to learn, but during the process of promoting students’ ability to observe and identify exhibits may hinder the students self problems at the same time. The era meaning of the exhibits will be lost by looking for the designed problems in the learning list.Foreign scholars are promoting a so called WebQuest model in recent years, which can promote the students to explore effectively and achieve learning effect. The main purpose of this study is trying to apply the WebQuest model into museum learning in order to explore the new patterns of virtual museum. Take "Palace Museum" in Suzhou Education Press for the sixth grade as example, this paper discusses how to use WebQuest teaching mode to build learning platform for learners under the condition of virtual museum, and to realize the combination of museum learning and classroom teaching under the guidance of WebQuest learning mode, and provide design pattern for researchers or teachers to explore and use of virtual museum teaching.This paper uses the methods of literature research, case analysis and questionnaire investigation, by using Dreamweaver web design software and based on the museum learning of virtual tour in the Forbidden City to testify and perfect the design in practice.By the practical application which based on WebQuest teaching mode in virtual museum, it can validate the students’ learning of applying WebQuest mode in the virtual museum, on the one hand, it can promote the students’ ability to explore by themselves and avoid get lost in the process of study; on the other hand, it can promote the consolidation of classroom learning and finally improve the students’ information literacy competency.
