The Influx Of Non-Governmental Organizations In Senegaland Their Impact:Case Study Of OXFAM

This thesis seeks to understand the issue related to the influx of NGOs in Africa with a focus on Senegal. West African countries are considered as one of the poorest part of Africa,therefore it’s filled by NGOs which come there for the purpose to participate in the development of the countries.Senegal counts an important number of NGOs working on several fields since decades.However comparing to the growing number of NGOs in the country, there is no notified evolution in term of development and less poverty.So this works aim to find answers about the impact of NGOs in Senegal by taking Oxfam as a case Study as a nongovernmental organization,OXFAM has the same purpose as much NGOs which is to participate to the transformation.. Therefore the thesis focus on its impact in Senegal by analyzing its different intervention throughout the program implemented in several areas. But first of all we judge important to analyze the factors behind the growing number of NGOs in Senegal.In looking at the problems, ours data collection was based on two sources. Primary source include exclusively interviews, while secondary sources includes literature review,examination of official reports, articles, and journals.
