Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Medical Social Work Practice In Colleges And Universities

In recent years,medical troubles take place frequently and have became a public issue,resulting in intense relationship between doctors and patients.Hence,it is particularly important to develop medical social work to build a harmonious relationship and promote communication between doctors and patients during a critical period of reforming medical and health system.However,China's medical social work is still in initial stage at present and there is no experience for reference.When taking the contradiction of high demand for medical social workers and the low quality of training into consideration,it is imminent to build a local model of medical social work.Medical social work practice is a part of social worker training and has an important role in promoting medical social work.The paper discover some problems and analyze them based on the internship process in L agency during the period of Social Work Master in X University and undergraduate internship experience.Through the literature review,it also shows some guiding significances although there are few researches about practice of college medical social work.On the basis of the participatory observation method,the literature material method and the deep interview method,this paper analyzes the current situation,the existing difficulties and the countermeasures of the medical practice work in the university from the perspective of a trainee.X University has get some achievements in the arrangements for students of social work major whether in the internship before the curriculum and timing,the selection and determination of institutions and internship before the talks,or in the practice of professional guidance and the assessment after internship.But because social work is still exotic,there are still shortcomings,such as the irrational course setting,the incoherence of internship time,the scarcity of medical social workers,the shortage and imbalance of teachers and so on.This paper puts forward the suggestions for improving the practice of medical social work from three dimensions of interns,institutions and schools based on the experience of regional social work practice in foreign country,Hong Kong and Taiwan.
