The Influence Of The Supervisors’ Absence On The Internship Of Medical Social Work

With the development of domestic social work, supervisors become increasingly important. Supervisors as an important part of social work practice, it plays a critical role, and especially for the emerging medical social work practice field, the supervisor’s effects can not be ignored. In the practice of medical social work, the role of supervisors play well to help the intern to carry out effective services, and enhance the quality of practice. Once the absence of supervisors, it will be difficult to guide the intern effectively, it will directly affect the interns to carry out services, and ultimately adversely affect the practice.This study takes the Wuhan G hospital internship as an example, through the introduction of the internship point of supervisor, combined with the supervisors’ specific performance in practice, to explore the impact of the absence of supervision in the internship. This paper is divided into five portions. First, the study discusses the origin of the problem with the content and significance of research, this part also points out the situation of supervisors in the internship point and the characteristics of medical social work practice, thus lay the foundation for writing the article. At the same time, this paper describes the concepts related to the research subject, and reviewed the current research at home and abroad, sums up the experience and shortcomings, pointed out the further research space. Secondly, this paper describes the research methods, there are case study method and literature research method, and It describes the idea and specific content of the research; Thirdly, taking a case service in practice as an example, combined with casework processes and supervisor’s performance to analyze the impact of the absence of supervisor in practice. Mainly in five areas:the staff arrangement of pre-service, serving arrangements, designing before the intervention service, support and guidance services in the intervention process, interventional control. And for the performance of the specific impact, combined with actual cases to analyze the causes, it includes:The enthusiasm of medical institutions is not high, the professional loss of supervisors, the supervisor’s job affects supervision role, as well as professional talks before the meeting is not sufficient and so on. Fourthly, according to the performance and specific reasons of the absence of supervision, making suggestions, including:improvement of administrative cooperation formula, building monitoring and evaluation mechanisms, strengthening exchanges and injecting profession, expanding guidance resources and improving guidance levels, improving practice matching degree and setting up social work department; Finally, summarizing the contents of the article, and on this basis, to reflect professional practice and professional curriculum.
