With the importance of vocabulary teaching is emphasized by more and more teachers, teaching vocabulary effectively and efficiently is becoming urgent. At the same time, with the repaid development of educational technology and Internet,English vocabulary teaching has to find its own place to the "Internet + Education"era. There are some researches related to vocabulary learning and teaching. However,researches on how to teach vocabulary with the help of intelligent learning platform,which combines on line self-learning and face to face teaching in senior high school is rare.BOXFISH as a represent of intelligent English learning platform has build a giant native learning material database attached to textbook and extended topics both for students to learn by themselves and for teachers to reduce pressures of vocabulary teaching. It allows students to imitate native speakers’ pronunciation and word spelling guided by phonics. Students can gain points and see the ranking of class after learning vocabulary in BOXFISH. What’s more, teachers can give feedback immediately with the help of Internet.The author investigated the application situation of BOXFISH in vocabulary learning in Tianjin Nan Kai senior high school as a case. In order to figure out what attitudes that teachers and students took for BOXFISH, what helps BOXFISH is able to give to students’ vocabulary learning, how teachers use BOXFISH to assist vocabulary teaching, what difficulties teachers and students met, the author carried out questionnaires for one hundred and ninety-two students and eight teachers and interviewed sixteen students and eight teachers in senior one in Tianjin Nan Kai senior high school and collected written feedback. According to data analysis, both teachers and students took positive attitudes towards BOXFISH. What’s more,BOXFISH can arouse students’ interests of vocabulary learning. Besides, BOXFISH can help them grasp the pronunciation and usages efficiently. At the same time,BOXFISH seems to enhance students’ self-learning ability and communication ability as well. Teachers be able to use BOXFISH as supplemental materials closed attached to textbook to teach in classes in controlled time. But heavy homework burden,parents’ censorship to Internet and non-long term teaching plans is obstacle to use BOXFISH to assist vocabulary teaching and learning.Through the research, the author provided some feasible suggestions for vocabulary teaching in senior high schools with assistance of BOXFISH Intelligent English Learning platform, such as teachers should set up long-term teaching plans to combine textbook and other topics in BOXFISH. Additionally, teachers would better give students feedback and cultivate their persistence and will.
