A Study About Legal Orphans' Social Psychological Barriers And Social Work Intervention

Legal orphans refers to both parents are in prison,the other part has died,no capability or for other reasons can't obtain custody of minors.In recent years,the NGOs and the mainstream media have paid attention to the legal orphans,so the research on legal orphans' assistance also gradually rise.In this study the author conducted in a practice project named “ the legal orphans' rescue and protect —for two generations born again “ in the Sun village of Xinxiang city.During the study found that the legal orphans' have very good security in material life,but they have the social psychological barriers such as defensive,rejection,hostility to the outside world generally.This study method of observation and the depth interviews as the basic method of data collection to the study of the 12 between 16 legal orphans' social psychological barriers.Research shows that the legal orphans social psychological barriers mainly by childhoods' emotional needs and social security need are not being met,and social factors such as the label.According to the above questions,the research conclusion and work target,this research by social learning theory and The theory of cognitive behavior made the team work and case work plan,and the research finally choose 8 existing social psychological barrier children,to alleviate the social psychological barriers,improve their interpersonal skills to adapt to and blend in the social life better for the purpose of social work intervention.After two months of professional social work intervention after found reduced legal orphans social barriers,the relationship between the staff,teachers,classmates and so on are all improved.The research object to choose,this study applied method,data collection and evaluation method has certain limitation,while the potential replication needs further verification,but the preliminary conclusions are as follows:1.Special suffer in childhood can lead to children social psychological barriers,the legal orphans is the typical representative;2.cognitive behavioral therapy apply to the legal orphans' social psychological barriers and treatment effect is obvious;3.Social work as a kind of science methods,can help to enhance the legal orphans' human security,reduce social psychological barriers,and the establishment of the trust relationship is the key factors in the process of intervention.
